In response to the growing need of our customers to track and monitor valuable assets, Globalstar is pleased to offer a basic simplex data service package. Globalstar is launching the Quick Locate Service with two available simplex devices. These units are programmed with the ability to send 6 GPS location reports per day. In addition, the devices have one digital port/input which can be used to provide customers with additional monitoring and event-driven capabilities as required. The reports will then be available for customers to access via the Quick Locate Service on the Globalstar website.

How Simplex Technology Works

• Simplex messages are transmitted via the Globalstar low-earth orbit satellite network, using an uplink-only connection (one-way data transmission).
• Multiple messages are sent over several minutes at each transmission interval to ensure reception. Once the Globalstar system confirms a message it ensures repeats are deleted for efficiency. Customer only pays for first confirmed message.

Globalstar Quick Locate Service is an ideal solution for businesses that need to quickly and reliably track and monitor assets. The Quick Locate service is perfect for customers who are looking for an affordable, basic tracking solution.

Globalstar Approved Quick Locate Products

Globalstar Quick Locate Service can be accessed through the Internet using one of the two following Globalstar approved products. Both are battery-operated, wireless data devices that integrate the Globalstar Simplex Transmitter Unit. These ready-to-go and easy to install products ensure that customers can easily and efficiently administer the service in the field.
